Hole in One is an online slot game which was developed by Amaya Gaming. The online slot game has five reels, three rows and nine pay lines with some special symbols, multipliers and a bonus game. The theme of Hole in One is, as the name hints, all about golf and the graphics and sound effects are true to the theme. Symbols include water traps; sand traps; bunkers and representing the lower valued symbols are playing card icons displayed as flags.
Up to 5 coins may be bet on each Hole in One pay line with values starting from 0.01. The online slot offers a max bet option to automatically place the maximum bet amount. The other betting options can be placed and altered with the function buttons found below the reels.
The Hole in One Wild
The wild symbol says wild and shows a golf ball on a tee with a golf club. This symbol also happens to be the highest valued symbol in the game. As a wild it will substitute for the bunker and water trap symbols only, none of the other symbols can be replaced by a wild. The bunker and water trap symbols are the higher valued regular symbols paying out 5 000 coins and 3 750 coins respectively for five of them on an active pay line.
When the maximum bet is in play and five of the wild symbols land on an active pay line the Hole in One jackpot prize of 12 500 coins is won. Four or three of the wilds pay out 2 500 coins and 625 coins respectively. The wild symbol will also pay out if two or even one symbol appears. Two symbols pay out 75 coins while one symbol pays out 10 coins. They will only pay if they land starting on the far left reel.
The Scatters and Bonus Game
There are two scatter symbols on the reels, both being portraits of golfers. The one offers a scatter pay while the other triggers the bonus game. These symbols must land consecutively on the Hole in One reels but they do not have to be on a pay line.
When the scatter golfer appears three or more times an animation of the golfer swinging and angrily attempting to break his club is shown. A box will then appear on the screen to display the winning amount which could be anything from 1 to 2 700 coins.
Three or more of the bonus golfer symbols start the Hole in One online slot bonus game. This is a second screen game where twelve golf holes are displayed. The aim here is to pick golf holes which award either a par, a birdie or an eagle which award 1, 2 or 5 points respectively. The picks continue until a choice results in an out of bounds shot which will end the game. The points accumulated are multiplied by the initial bet of the activating spin and if four or five of the golfers triggered the game then the points are doubled or tripled.
